USGS ecstdb2005 - classified (preview) - This data layer is a subset of the ecstdb2005 dataset and has been clipped to the extent of the mapview. It contains only those points that fall within the map view and those points which have been classified according to the Shephard classification scheme. The USGS East Coast sediment texture database released in 2005 contains the location, description and texture of approximately 23,000 samples taken by numerous marine sampling programs and processed by the USGS, Woods Hole Science Center.
